Analyze Attendance and Incidents for K-12 Students

I recently watched the most recent video from Patrick LeBlanc, a Power BI guru from Microsoft.  You can see it here:

He recently has changed position in Microsoft to support K-12 schools using Microsoft products.  Working with District 11 (Colorado Springs, CO) he came up with a generalized solution to look at Attendance and Incidents along with other student data to determine what factors might be correlated using a generic Power BI template which anyone can use by just setting up the necessary data views from your student system to use as inputs to the model.  He has made the resulting model available for FREE at:

https://github.com/pleblanc72/K12-PBI-Attend-and-Incidents

In the instructions, he tells you exactly how to set up the data views to make the model work.  Here is an image of what one of the resulting screens (using generic data) looks like to whet your appetite:

Anyone interested in making this a project at OCPS?  If so, please contact me at: 47758@ocps.net  I have worked with Power BI for several years, have blogged extensively on the topic and have spoken at over a dozen SQL Saturday events on Power BI and PivotTables.
