If so, great! You can stop reading here.<\/p>\n<p>If not, here are some instructions and a file from which you can import the minimum basic school year events as shown on the OCPS School Calendar found at: <a title=\"The District approved 2019-20 Calendar\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ocps.net\/UserFiles\/Servers\/Server_54619\/File\/About%20Us\/Calendars\/2019-20%20District%20Calendar.pdf\">The 2019-2020 District Calendar<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Steps:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<div>Download the following CSV file and save on your local hard drive.<\/div>\n<p><a title=\"A CSV file containing the 2019-20 basic school events\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.ocps.net\/presenceblog\/2019-20_csv_school_events\/\">2019-20 Basic School Year Events File<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Login into your school&#8217;s website.<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Click on <strong>Full Calendar<\/strong> in the <strong>Upcoming Events<\/strong> section of your school web site&#8217;s home page<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wordpress.ocps.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/080919_1839_NeedaCalend1.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>\n<div>On the calendar, click on the plus sign (<strong>+<\/strong>). Note this opens a dropdown menu that lets you enter individual calendar events or import an event file.<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wordpress.ocps.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/080919_1839_NeedaCalend2.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Import Events<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>In the dialog that appears, make sure the <strong>Conversion Type<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>is CSV File (Comma delimited)<\/em> which should be the default<\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>Choose File<\/strong> button next to the label <strong>Source File.<\/strong> This opens the Open File dialog.<\/li>\n<li>Navigate the location where you downloaded the file from step 1, and select it.<\/li>\n<li>Click the Import Events button.<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>If everything loads into the calendar correctly, you should see the following message:<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wordpress.ocps.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/080919_1839_NeedaCalend3.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/li>\n<li>\n<div>If a duplicate event name was encountered, that event will not be loaded and you will see the following dialog reporting errors.<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wordpress.ocps.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/080919_1839_NeedaCalend4.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In this case, you will want to click the Download Error Log and open it in Excel to see which event(s) did not load.<\/p>\n<p>Note that the event name must be exactly the same to be trapped as a duplicate. There is no AI (Artificial Intelligence) here. If you already have an event with the name: <strong>Start of School<\/strong> and you used the CSV file provided here which has the event <strong>First Day of School<\/strong>, both events will appear in your calendar because the system cannot determine that these are the same events with slightly different names.
