While Microsoft recommends that the visually impaired purchase a full-function screen reader for general computer use, Narrator is a useful piece of built-in accessibility software. Narrator is included with every copy of <a title=\"Microsoft Windows\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Microsoft_Windows\">Microsoft Windows<\/a>, providing a measure of access to Windows without the need to install additional software as long as the computer in use includes a sound card and speakers or headphones.<\/p>\n<p>Other alternatives are Apple&#8217;s VoiceOver, Google Talkback, Jaws, and NVDA.<\/p>\n<p>A Screen Reader in Word<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/support.office.com\/en-us\/article\/introduction-to-using-a-screen-reader-in-word-303eb71a-6bd8-474c-ba06-923e93347224?ui=en-US&amp;rs=en-US&amp;ad=US\">https:\/\/support.office.com\/en-us\/article\/introduction-to-using-a-screen-reader-in-word-303eb71a-6bd8-474c-ba06-923e93347224?ui=en-US&amp;rs=en-US&amp;ad=US<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Grammar and Spelling \u2013 Something We All Need<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Grammarly &#8211; <\/strong>Here is a great tool to get your grammar correct for emails, webpages, Word documents.  It even works within the SchoolMessenger Content Portlet if you are using the Chrome extension of Grammarly to edit your web pages.  And best of all, ITS FREE!
