SchoolMessenger has completed their update of school hyperlink colors. In most cases our color recommendation was accepted. However, some of our selections were overridden by SchoolMessenger to provide for better ADA compliance with all possible viewers including those with various color blindness. (I posted a document on color blindness in our Web Services site: https://intranet.ocps.net/common/pages/DisplayFile.aspx?itemId=926166 and a blog post on link colors: January 19, 2018 Link Colors and Color Contrast for ADA) You should automatically see the new colors on your school page hyperlinks and need to do nothing unless you created your own color selections. Bear in mind that your color selections may not be fully ADA compliance for different types of color blindness.
If you defined your own hyperlink colors, you should go back and remove your custom colors and use the site wide color definitions set by SchoolMessenger. To do that, follow these steps:
Step 1: Go to the page which has a hyperlink already on it that may be in a custom color. I’m using a page from Waterbridge Elementary (https://waterbridgees.ocps.net) which has a green color scheme but which had a blue hyperlink color as shown below.

Step 2: Log in and turn on Design Mode for the page.
Step 3: Open the content portlet that contains the hyperlink
Step 4: Switch to HTML mode to edit the text.
Step 5: Locate the hyperlink and look around it for the HTML that changed the color. Note in this case, the color is embedded in a set of SPAN tags

Step 6: Remove the color reference.

Step 7: Publish the content portlet.
How when I view the content, the hyperlink displays in the default hyperlink color for the school site.

In this case, the hyperlink green closely matches the site colors while addressing ADA compliance issues.
If you do not feel comfortable making these changes to the HTML, please attend the next Open Lab to learn how to do this with hands-on help. Also if you feel strongly that the wrong color was selected for your school (entirely possible), please let us know at presence@ocps.net and provide your desired RGB color.
