Recently it was discovered that an image saved as type .JPG that has transparent sections in the image will not appear as transparent when displayed in the current portal content web part. Rather, support has informed me that images with transparent sections must be saved as .PNG files instead. I did not see that coming.
Note: This only affects images that require some portion of the image to be transparent. Therefore, it will not affect the vast majority of images displayed on your web pages.
